I always identified with the band kids in _Funky Winkerbean_. Harry L. Dinkle **was** my band director. I noticed a couple of votes for Wyle E. Coyote here. I never liked the roadrunner cartoons, precisely because I found Wyle E. to be so admirable, yet he always lost. Here was a guy who was so creative and imaginative and with so much perserverance, yet he always lost out to that damned smartass, in-your-face roadrunner. (Yeah, I know he was trying to eat the roadrunner, but that was his instinct. A guy’s gotta eat, right? As for the roadrunner, expressing relief would’ve been OK, but the gloating was uncalled for.) Interestingly enough, though, I never had the same sympathy for the aardvark in the _Ant and the Aardvark_ cartoons which were a blatant ripoff of roadrunner (but much funnier, IMO.) Yet another Daria here. I even LOOK like Daria-no lie, straight brown hair, glasses, blank, vaguely pissed off look (even though I don’t MEAN to look pissed off, every always thinks I’m giving them dirty looks!) Just like Daria, I’m sarcastic and I don’t like big crowds. I was also like she is in the show-not harassed nerd, but not really part of any group-I just hung out with one friend. And I have a sister who’s snotty and perky as well. ---

I think I identify with Ace and Gary, from SNL’s “Ambiguously Gay Duo”. … Hey, what’s everybody looking at? Also, I’m a little bit Charlie Brown, a little bit that kid from Foxtrot, a little bit Calvin, a little bit Daria (a little bit embarassed that I seem to be repeating what everyone else is saying), a little bit The Brain, and a little bit Butthead (but not _Beavis_…Oh no :D). ---

This may be a bit too obscure but let me put this in… **Gavia Immer** , from the late, lamented _Puma Blues_. He doesn’t know what’s right, a great deal of his life was directed for him, and he’s continually swept up in events. And, exactly like him, I don’t know how it ends. The Puma Blues ceased publication midway through the story. From Mary Prankster: “I don’t give a damn what it’s all about I just want to see how it all turns out” ---

Hehehe…I could have gone as Daria for Halloween without even changing. Long brown stick-straight hair, big glasses, green coat. Could have stolen the boots from my Dad. Weird thing, in college I used to date this guy who said in high school he pretty much _was_ Butt-head and his best friend pretty much _was_ Beavis. I mean in looks, attitude, _and_ inane laughter. The way I describe my up-and-down moods: “Some days I’m Tigger, some days I’m Eeyore. But I’m always Goofy.” ---
