A good portion of his act, but not in the clip that was linked, he pulls some unsuspecting chump out of the audience to play the straight guy for his act. Guess who got pulled out one night? Afterwards, he gave me some parting gifts and took a moment to say thanks and generally seemed like a decent guy. Granted he was talking to somebody he just used for his act, but the vibe you got was working guy who took the time to talk to everybody who waited around after his show. ---

I got the same feeling watching **The Amazing Johnathan** live. The person he pulls from the audience always seems to be enjoying himself. Johnathan’s comments are so ridiculous and over the top that you know he’s not serious about them. ---

I’ve never met him, but I know several people who worked at WABC radio, and they all thought both Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes were extremely nice guys. Considering that these friends regarded 99% of radio personalities as egomaniacs and jerks, it speaks well of Hannity and Colmes. ---

I listened to an interview with Andy Dick on WTF with Marc Maron recently (really good podcast BTW). In Vegas Dick was playing in a celebrity poker tournament, and baked on pot. He said he made his assistant carry his pot for him. The cop Andy Dick slept with eventually got his assistant out, but I have no idea if Andy Dick played a role in that or if he even cared that his assistant was in jail for holding his drugs while he was fucking one of the cops who busted him for it. As for my list: Marilyn Manson Patton Oswalt David Cross I knew several people who had interactions with John Mellencamp and they all said he was a dick. ---

Are you asserting that ‘dereliction of duty’ + ‘fucking Andy Dick’ is, in any measurable way, worse than ‘fucking Andy Dick?’ Once you pass the big event horizons, the small ones don’t matter anymore. – To be fair, anyone would have trouble resisting the bragging rights that came with that story. “Yeah, she was gonna arrest me, had me dead to rights, then I turned on the ol’ Dick charm . . .” ---
