Phil Sheridan, it says, a hot headed little Irishman. Not what I expected. I figured George Thomas, “Old Slow Trot” and “the Rock of Chickamauga,” or maybe James Birdseye McPherson. Sheridan’s not too bad, though. Could be worse, could be George Custer. Here’s what the quiz says about Little Phil: Philip Sheridan: Sheridan was a man you never wanted to get on the wrong side of. Headstrong and stubborn, he attacked his foes with a relentless determination that wore them down. Widely regarded as the best Union Cavalry general in the war. After the war, he served as a reconstruction governor and had to be removed for being to harsh. Once rallied his retreating troops by saying “Damn you, don’t you cheer me! Get back to the front!” ---

I’m Lee. But I could tell which answers were “Lee” answers, so I think that might have tainted the result, since I think Lee was one of the most personally honorable Civil War generals. ---

Grant wasn’t a drunk and Lee is overrated. Jackson is very underrated, even though he was weird - the Confederacy would have done better if he had had Lee’s job. Sherman was a good general but a war criminal. I ended up as Lee. ---
