Feldman all the way. I may be saying this post facto, but when I was a disaffected high-school student pining over him, I think I read between the lines of the interviews and articles of the fan magazines that something was not right in his family. Unfortunately, I was correct.

It’s still possible that he could get a second run. He IS talented, or was when I was seeing his movies. He’s only in his early thirties: maybe when he’s forty-something and his looks have changed enough to give him a new persona, he could play character roles. **Eve** , since I saw you poke your head in here, do you think he could play in an adaptation of a Fitzgerald novel? He could even play Fitzgerald himself: there’s a passing resemblance!

Haim, on the other hand, is nothing but a punk. Schoolmates of mine went up to Glen Elyn during the filming of **Lucas** , and reported that he was **such** a jerk. Later, I met the owner of the theater where one of the scenes takes place, and he confirmed this.
