Boozahol Squid PI: A great guy and mafia player, recently married, would rather live in Gotham than Metropolis. There are others but a lot of them have been done above. Just thinking about Boozy though, haven’t seen him around in a while… ---

I’d love to know what “mental snapshot” comes to mind when someone sees my username: “guy who has to piss alot?” The only one I have is “covered in bees” which always makes me think of a photo of a guy wearing a beard of bees. ---

Well, I’m bad with names—this is bad enough in real life, where I’ve even gotten my uncles’ names confused a couple of times, but on an avatar-less message board where I’m likely to either be skimming or so wrapped up in a discussion that I (to my chagrin) often neglect to even _check_ the names unless there’s a back-and-forth conversation going on? I’m pretty hopeless. Though I _do_ notice a few, here and there, mostly the real characters. **Paul in Qatar** —Expatriate language teacher, spent some time in the US Army, published at least one book (which I own!), writes some fiction (which I’ve read!). **CandidGamera** —Er…RPG and comics guy? **Skald the Rhymer** —Really, _everyone_ knows Skald, so what could I meaningfully add? Except that I always imagined him as looking like Wilt Chamberlain in _Conan the Destroyer_, except with a big horned viking helmet. ---

Some of my favorite Dopers (cuz I have so many un-favorites, this would go in the Pit sooner rather than later): Martini Enfield–QLD Ozzie, student/writer, knowledgable and helpful about firearms of all sorts, recently married, works a job with lots hours around Xmas, owes me a drink Polycarp–liberal but devout Christian, knowledgable about literary and historical matters as well as Biblical and theological, has posted some nutty ideas on the Dope, former inhabitant of way upstate New York Heffalump and Roo–mysterious, West Coast habitant, doesn’t like answering queries about her life, very resistant to the hive mind Sarahfeena–Chicago resident, baseball fan, politically conservative, religious but not doctrinaire, will discuss controversial subjects but is slow to take offense, has children Eleanor Rigby–Also a Chicago resident, a RN, good Scrabble player, has older kids, politically liberal elucidator–articulate tireless arguer for liberal causes, thoughtful, a good listener. At some point he exposed a totally nutty belief (in something fairly unpolitical) that made me question his critical thinking but now I can’t remember what the controversy was about. Twickster–bought her house with money she earned on Jeopardy, skillful editor and gardener, not much of a housekeeper (cat hair and books everywhere), extremely smart (doctorate in religion), Quaker, very sweet and generous RickJay–very knowledgable baseball fan, Canadian, open but not wedded to sabremetric analysis Rubystreak–just gave birth to her first child, is on hiatus from the Dope, loves cats, is very short, teaches public school Shayna–big Obama supporter, lives in California, very thorough in supporting her political views with lots and lots of cites Anaamika–capital district habitant, of Indian (sub-continent) descent, keeps out of controversy Liberal–lives for controversy, holds many original ideas, is into philosophy on a level that I’m incapable of following too deeply Jali–former NYer, lives in Georgia now, a self-confessed cougar, likes tea Olivesmarch4th–big Nietzsche fan, married to a very nice guy whom she’s known for a long time, now a grad student, comes from a disturbing family background, has overcome a lot of issues to be as well-adjusted as she is, many radical changes in her outlook over the years ---

I’m not sure if that’s really in the spirit of this thread. I guess that, outside of baseball threads, I don’t tend to pay much attention to any individual’s posting style. On the plus side, this exercise made me realize that there are an awful lot of you here that I’m pretty fond of. Perhaps, when I’ve had more than four hours’ sleep, I’ll decide that my list is relevant anyway and post it. ---

Although I did win $46K on _Jeopardy!_, that was about 4 years after I bought the house – the down payment came from money I inherited when my mother died. ---

Still impressed. I knew we had a handful of \*Jeopardy \*contestants on the board, but I didn’t know you were one. When Jeopardy’s on, I just stare blankly at the screen and hum along to the catchy music. Sometimes someone will wander by and wipe the drool off my chin. 😉 ---

I think I was pretty spot-on in the previous “how popular are you?” poll. I’m sure plenty of people recognize my name (it starts with a Z!) but there’s not much to KNOW about me. I lack a persona and/or a schtick 🙂 Pretty much all of the people I might have a mental flashcard on have been mentioned. They must be the ones with the personalities 😃 ---
