At first I was all “awwww, shucks, no one loves me enough” but then I remembered I’ve only been here for like two months. Most of the posters being mentioned have been active for years. Anyway, this is what I think when I see these usernames: **MeanOldLady** : Lives in Minnesota, expat from somewhere warmer (California, I think?), does not take shit from random flirtatious men, not actually an old lady, witty, snappy dresser. **Freudian Slit** : Generally shares my views on most issues, has frickin’ sweet username. **Diogenes the Cynic** : Minnesotan, liberal, sarcastic, set in his ways, has three(?) daughters. **Curtis LeMay** : Younger, conservative, somewhat naive in the ways of…well, lots of things. **Shodan** : Conservative, has a signature at the end of each post. I understand the latter has been a point of contention among other posters. **norinew** : I always want to pronounce this name “NOR-ee NOO” even after being informed that it is, in fact, Norine W. **Malleus, Incus, Stapes!** EAR OSSICLES, OMG. (I’m a bit of an osteology nerd and to hear the proper names of these bones pleases me.) **Skald the Rhymer** : Always has polls that end with “stoopid Rhymer!!” or a variation of same. I think I remember him mentioning that he not get along with his brother, although I may be mistaking him for another poster. **olivesmarch4th** : Married, had a very complex and tragic early life, has a schizophrenic(?) uncle who wrote a poem that was both strange and beautiful for her wedding. **Chez Guevara** : This name always cracks me up, if just because I always say it to myself all fancy-like. **melodyharmonius** : Originator of the “Ron” thread, unless I am very much mistaken. **Shirley Ujest** : One of my favorite usernames, if mostly because it reminds me of the joke “don’t call me Shirley.” Which, uh, I’m guessing was intentional. I could go on…maybe I will in another post. But that’s enough for now, I think. ---

Whenever I try to think of friends, or jokes, or facts, I always miss a bunch and have to go back several times. And a lot of people I only remember one thing about. So this is my rough draft. **Qadgop the Mercotan** - prison doc, has great stories. **Skald the Rhymer** - would-be world conquerer, posts interesting sci-fi hypotheticals. Starts lots of LOTR threads. **elfkin477** - QtM’s daughter. **Covered\_In\_Bees!** - he’d like people to stop thinking he’s a girl. **Elendil’s Heir** - as evident from the name, another LOTR fan. **Sampiro** - one of the board’s top story-tellers. Gay. Comes from a redneck family and has some weird relatives. **Scylla** - another story-telling great, of Horror Of Blimps fame. Not a bondage fetishist hamster slaying masturbator, as far as we know. **Hal Briston** - has a coworker who thinks he (the coworker) is funny. **Hal** does not share that opinion. **OpalCat** - Hi Opal!, does not like buckeyes, has cats. **panache45** - gay Jewish athiest **Antinor01** - gay **Jayjay** - gay **matt\_mcl** - gay **Der Trihs** - the original Angry Athiest. **Argent Towers** - likes _Hogg_. A lot. **melodyharmonius** - she of Ron fame. Job has something to do with kinky sex. Or maybe that’s a hobby, or an orginazation. I just remember the non-vanilla sex part. **Curtis LeMay** - thirteen years old, Aspie **Ivylass** relatively conservative, has cancer-free boobies. And I remember a thread about chest hair where she said that Ivylad is smooth and she likes it that way. It’s weird, what you remember. **Lobsang** - named after the Lobsang from _Thief of Time_. Athiest. **Bricker** - is often brought up preemtively in Pit threads: “I know **Bricker** and **Sarafeena** say we never pit liberals…” **Sarafeena** - ditto. **Stranger On A Train** - signs his/her posts “Stranger”. **Shodan** - signs his posts “Regards, Shodan”. **Serenata67** - is getting married soon. At least, I don’t think she got married yet. **Norinew** - you’ll never convince me that it’s not “norrinu”. Calls her daughter Mudgirl. **faithfool** - grew up as a Jack Chick-type fundie, had a change of heart during college. Is actually female, as I found out the other week. **SilverTygerGirl** - a furry who likes to imagine herself as a winged tiger. Which is really cool. A non-angry atheist. **A bunch other other people** - I don’t know any factoids that I can put in words, but rest assured guys, I know who you are. **The mods** - the great and awesome powers before whom I humbly prostrate myself. Also, **twickster** is a girl, and **Czarcasm** was nearly “Chicken of Bristol”. ---

Runs a martial arts place **FairyChatMom** - used to live in Florida, moved up East,is an engineer **swampbear** - lives in Ga, cooks bratwurst in beer **Baker** - is a baker **silenus** - is a HS teacher \*\*Jali \*\*- lives in atlanta **Spectre of Pithecantropus** - likes anthropology? I think. **SmartAleq** - is one ! **Hakuna Matata** - is an architect **Bin-Gay** - is Hakuna’s wife **Dinsdale** - is a gov’t attorney, lives in/near Chicago, has 2 or 3 kids **elbows** - used to be a caretaker for her mother-in-law **VunderBob** - is a volunteer firefighter, I think. **NurseCarmen** - is a dude, and a nurse. I remember a pit thread of his about a drunk snowmobile driver. **Shayna** - is a writer? and a very sweet person **Sunspace** - has walked a labyrinth **Bosda** - lives in TN **BiblioCat** - is an EMT **runner pat** - rides a hand trike **What Exit?** - lives in Jersey **loach** - is/used to be a police officer, has been overseas in the Gulf recently **Tamerlane** - knows a lot about the Middle East **BobLibDem** - is a structural engineer **robby** - is a civil engineer and knows a lot about sewers and wastewater treatment plant operation **cmyk** - is a graphic artist **Nzinga, Seated** - lives in the city **Asimovian** - looks good on a motorcycle \*\*fachverwirrt \*\*- is a professional singer **tripler** - is an explosives expert **Kyla** - taught in Bulgaria **Acid Lamp** - likes to grow veggies **Maui Lion** - lives in Hawaii, was in a horrible wreck last year **Harmonious Discord** - lives near a river in Wisconsin, has a relative with a vile dog **Illuminati Primus** - lives in England, has an awesome tattoo **matt\_mcl** - is interested in mass transit, lives in Canada \*\*chimera \*\*- works in a call center **Troy McClure** - helped friends paint a giant lolcat on a building in SF **Annie-Xmas** - was born on Christmas day **Atomic Mama** - lives in Alaska, loves the Blues **Shellibean** - lives in Alabama. Or Mississippi \*\*Juliana \*\*- lives close by me **Dinsdale** - is an attorney with a ponytail, likes to go to casinos **elmwood** - is a city planner **Aesiron** - originally from TN, spent a couple of years traveling around **Dolores Reborn** - has an awesome kitchen which I’m jealous of **ShibbOleth** - lives in Florida, has an asian wife **mangetout** - collects single gloves **you with the face** and **monstro** are twins I know I have left out a bunch more. Such is old age. _sigh_ ---
