I’m terrible with names and remembering details, so although I recognize most usernames, I only remember details about about a few, mostly posters I’ve had board crushes on. And I probably misremember most of the details, too. Nonetheless, here goes: **Swampbear** - Gay, southern, friendly, funny. **Mattmcl** - Also gay, lives in Quebec (Montreal, I think), very politically involved, has run in local elections with the Green Party, does translation work. **WhyNot** - Hasn’t been around in a while, may have left. ☹ Poly, always had great parenting advice. **Autolycus** - Haunted by a story he told about an incident with a ladle. Funny guy. **Twickster** - Always very helpful with gardening advice. **Hal Briston** - Username is Not Sir Blah backwards, has M&M fights, the sheep thing, got married before I could get to him, has a young daughter, bought a house a couple years ago, lives in Jersey (New). **Scylla** - Politically conservative, tells a good story. **Sampiro** - Gay, southern, tells a great story. **AHunter3** - Very liberal and strongly opinionated, has had a terrible time with the mental health system, great person to have in a discussion of feminism or treatment of mental illnesses. **Argent Towers** - Currently references _Hogg_ in every post he makes. 🙂 **Qadgop the Mercotan** - Prison doc, lives in Wisconsin, tells a good story. **Anaamika** - Of Indian descent, is subjected to family drama, draws awesome cartoons. **Inigo Montoya** - My first board crush, bitterly funny. Sometimes starts bizarre threads I enjoy reading but almost never post to. **tdn** - Perpetually trying to find the right woman. **Colibri** - Currently living in Panama, studies birds. Colibri is Spanish for hummingbird, as I found out when I was in Panama to visit my mother, saw a hummingbird and asked a friend of hers what the Spanish word for it is. ---

It’s been a number of years since I’ve seriously hob-nobbed on the Dope, and most of the folks I was tight with have long since gone, but here are a couple: **Sampiro** - as funny IRL as on the Dope. Nay, more so. Modern reincarnation of Wilde in a Southerner’s body. **elelle** - also very Southern, and eerily similar to myself in avocation and personal passions. Roots music aficionado (ditto, although she is infinitely more qualified than I to discuss it), and native plant guru (also a major interest of mine). ---

Just to explain my opinion, sometimes you strike me as someone who wants others to think he’s tough, when really he’s just a normal dude.
