Today I came across an old thread titled [I wonder if there are any TV/movie/sports stars on the SDMB.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=123078), started by **The Great Zamboni**. (This thread is really old, so please don’t bump it.) Hijacked in the first few posts, no one really got around to guessing which Dopers might be actual famous people. So here are my guesses: **lieu** is actually [Tom Green](http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0215129/Ss/0215129/8?path=pgallery&path_key=Green,%20Tom%20(III)) **7 up yours** is actually [Orlando Jones](http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/1022/Events/1022/jones_orlando2?path=pgallery&path_key=Jones,%20Orlando) **Ex Machina** is really [Richard Marcinko](http://www.dickmarcinko.com/) and one not so famous: **MaggietheCat** is really my cat, Maggie, who secretly posts when I’m at work and/or sleeping. So, who do you think is famous? ---

lieu has to be famous, at least on a township level. No one with that kind of rear artillery goes unnoticed for long. ---

Our politician Dopers: **matt\_mcl** is former Prime Minister of Canada Brian Mulroney. **Coldfire** served as Justice Minister in South Africa during the Botha era, and is unable to return to that country, otherwise he’d be prosecuted for criminal acts. **UncleBeer** is former Governor of Ohio Jim Rhodes. **manhattan** is a former Queens Borough President, but I forget which one. Finally, I, **Governor Quinn** , am former Australian Ambassador to Ireland, Premier of Queensland, and DLP boss Vince Gair. How did I do in my guesses? ---

lieu’s too cool to be Tom Green. More on the level of George Carlin, I’d like to think. manhattan is actually Dick Grasso. The real reason he had to stop moderating is that after getting canned from the NYSE, he had to go earn a living and didn’t have as much time to moderate. ---

Actually, **Scylla** is Batman **Eve** is an advance scou/sleeper agent of the cylons and **Sperfur** is the ghost of J. Edgar Hoover. Still trying to get the dirt on everyone else. ---
