In 1976, I forced the Black Spot into the hands of William Allen Young (these days appearing in Code Black on CBS). In 1987, Stevie Wonder snagged some post-concert restorative facetime with my wife’s guide dog. In 2008, I got Joey Fatone to call my daughter and say “Hey.” ---

I worked in theatre for a long time. So I’ve had conversations with: Penn and Teller Neil Patrick Harris S. Epatha Merkerson Robert Hays David Morse Mandy Patankin spoke at my MFA graduation. A bunch of hockey players including Mike Dunham and Paul Karyea. George Mitchell And my favorites were when I got to meet Gonzo the Great and Rizzo the Rat to make sure they could fit in the places we were building for them. ---

I’ve seen plenty here in LA, but rarely have met any. Only a handful. By met I will say at least said hello kris asked for a autograph. Keri Russell and Scott Speedman- both in Summer 2000 when I and my brother asked for their autograph. They were both on the WB show Felicity. Robin Williams-also 2000, Fred Segal store on Melrose, asked for autograph. Halle Berry-just said hi and shook her hand after I could not get pen and paper, 2003 Jojo-teen pop singer, 2006 at Chipotle, asked for an autograph. She had hits like “Get Out, Leave”. I will close to meeting George Michael in 2004 at CD signing, but our part of the line were not able to since he left. I only say from a few feet. I saw plenty but never spoke with them. Now when I see one in do not approach. I never had a conversation with a celebrity. ---

I have to provide an update to my list. I recall approaching Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates in 2010 and asking it it really was him. We shook hands and I went my own way. He was standing on the sidewalk with two books in his hands, I assume he was waiting for someone. And since Monday I am serving juror with ROBERT DOWNEY JR. And yes I have some cell phones pics of him, for all you skeptics. ---

I’m friends with a guy who was in the NFL and is in the HOF. He played during the Steeler glory years. He _hates_ any kind of recognition, and has a reputation as a curmudgeon. I’ve been with him when a woman approached and asked, “hey, are you . . .?” And he glared and replied, “how does it change your fucking life if I am?” And she squeals and hollers to her friends, “it’s him, it’s him!!”😃 ---

(The A-hole was standing right in front of a NO SMOKING sign.
