I still own the game - I actually bought it only 5 years ago or so. I’m just not sure if I still own a computer that can play it! Otherwise I could see if I’m any better at it, or try to get my husband to get me past that point.
You’re complaining about four!? And with a point and click type interface!? You obviously never played Zork Zero where there were six of the fucking discs. And you had to constantly type “move x to y” over and over and over, where ‘x’ referred to the start peg and ‘y’ referred to the end peg. At least if you mistyped, you could undo the move rather than having to start over, but that was hardly comforting.
Yeah. I heard it was apparently easier on the PC than the PS2. (I played in on the PS2). It was an exercise in repeated frustration. (Much like trying to aim the sniper rifle with an analog stick.)
My younger brother and I had to share the game, so when one died they’d hand the controller over.
Yeah, that part of the game was frustrating as all hell.
Me too, and this thread’s made me think about getting it out and playing it again! I still have my old WinME comp…
Blitzball in FF10 is my nomination. Yes I know it was optional. It was still a poorly thought out turd of a minigame.
If you guys are thinking of the same maze I am, I remember noticing (after falling off right after the entrance) that the exit door is just to the left of the entrance door, and you can go down the path a little and then simply jump over from the beginning to the end.
Oblivion’s lockpicking game gets annoying after a while. I like the Bioshock game, though, since it kind of fits in with the story: underwater, old-school style hydraulics, plus it echoes one of the System Shock 2 minigames, which is appropriate since Bioshock is essentially an underwater remake.
**E.T. **- getting out of the pits you fell into.
What do I win?
A pitting.
