Jimmy Cagney! There’s no war he couldn’t win, fairly; no enemy he couldn’t charm or threaten to our side–plus, he could get up on the table and do a military tap number! And his first lady, Betty Grable, would win over everyone with her sunny smile, cheerful demenour, long legs and dancing skills. The First Kiddies, Margaret O’Brien and solemn little Baby Leroy, would assist. Certainly Whitehouse Spokesman Edward Everett Horton would get Pres. Cagney’s point across to reporters Ros Russell and Cary Grant. ---

Too Funny: When reading the thread title, I immediately thought “Christopher Walken”, having absolutely No Idea that there was a campaign afoot, and haven’t even seen any of his movies in a decade. Honest, it was just a gut reaction. Must be the intense eyes. Would love to see intense eyes for four years, sure beats the beady blanks of the current Potus. I’ll offer up Willem Dafoe as the next contender, running with fine VP John Lurie. They could do the State of the Union in the format of their great “Fishin’ With John” episode. Muy bonito. ---
