Don’t forget the local asshat, Representative Steven King, Reactionary, Nativist, McCarthyite, representing the Sahara Desert slope of western Iowa. His Wikipedia entry is remarkable for its lack of spittle. He will, however, be reelected. The Dutch Reform Church, fear of immigrant packing house workers, gratitude that Lincoln won the war and general insularity make the district so Republican that it might as well be on another planet. If there was ever a man who succeeded through wilful ignorance and sheer bloody mindedness he is Congressman King. ---

Mine, 'cos I can do something about that. Granted, Roy Blunt (MO-7) isn’t as obviously snarly & malaprop-prone as the OP’s, but he was DeLay’s whip, so I want him gone as a lesson to others. ---

Jeff Sessions, the junior senator from Alabama. What a piece of shit he is. Not that it matters, though, as I think he’s running unopposed. But the dude was quoted as saying the KKK isn’t so bad, but changed his position when he found out some of them smoked weed. He’s rabidly pro-business anti-environment and the strongest proponent of torture in the senate today. Fuck that dude. ---

He consistently toes the Republican party line and takes the most “conservative” (big business-friendly) stand on every issue while hiding behind the ‘family values’ smokescreen. I will add, Peter King, congressman from Seaford LI. His support of bush’s war, claims that Iraq is 95% safe. That being in Baghdad is like being in Manhattan. The bastard will probably get re-elected anyways. LI is the only part of NY that is still McCain territory. Maybe a good thing we don’t become a state. ---
