Trump voters live in their own media/ideological bubble. It doesn’t matter whether or not other people show them “contempt”, they’ll only hear about how the evil liberals hate them and are all child molesting devil worshipers.

“God back in schools” = religious persecution and the suppression of science. “Anti-abortion” = oppressing, torturing and killing women. “Anti-gay” = persecute, torture and kill homosexuals. “Pro-gun” = support for right wing lynchings and terrorism.

People voted for Trump and the Republicans because they wanted to hurt as many people as possible as much as possible, regardless of the consequences to themselves. All they care about is inflicting as much suffering as possible.

Trump and his supporters are misogynistic and support the rape and abuse of women. That’s why saying such things make him popular with them; they *want *women to be assaulted, to be raped, and to be killed.
