Only one piece of NFL paraphernalia has forced me to alter my rubric by which the annoyance factor of the others is judged to include not only its aesthetic unpleasantness and the obnoxiousness of the average wielder, but also the number of times I’ve been unintentionally thwapped upside the head with the fucking thing. I have nothing against the Steelers — hell, I hope they do the AFC proud in the big one — but the Terrible Towel can suck it. ---

At least the Terrible Towel has a purpose. It’s a towel. It’s functional. As opposed to a piece of (fake foam) cheese. That you put on your head. ---

I haven’t noticed too many cheese heads this year. When you watch the game and get a good view of the crowd, blur your eyes up and see if the whole audience is yellow. That’s just too much yellow. ---
