I’d have to say Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie and the Postal Service. He doesn’t have a huge range, or any particular quirks, but I just love his voice. It’s simple and sweet. I would also have to say Thom Yorke from Radiohead. His voice is kind of strange, but it’s also lovely in its own way. ---

However, while I like the two bands, I never really got into his voice, as it sounds too generic for me: alternatively at times I’m reminded of the Smiths, Depeche Mode, and Pet Shop Boys. ---

Gee, I haven’t looked at this thread because I figured lots of people would have already nominated Barry Manilow (sexiest) and Clay Aiken (most beautiful). Instead, I am the lone wackjob. However, I did appreciate the nominations for Alice Cooper, Freddie Mercury, Roger Waters, and David Gilmour. ---

My favorite male singing voice belongs to James Hetfield of Metallica. May not be sexy sounding to some, but he sure is to me! ---

Don Williams. His voice is like coming in from a cold, rainy night to sit wrapped in a blanket next to a blazing fire–warm, welcoming, comforting. Josh Groban has a magnificent voice. I admit his song, “You Raise Me Up” moved me to tears when I saw him perform it at the last Super Bowl. Raul Malo, lead singer for the Mavericks, can give me chills. There’s a real haunting quality to his voice that I love. ---
