# Which natural disaster do you think would be the most terrifying to experience?

A classic, huge, towering, single wave tsunami. Extra points if the tsunami was created by an asteroid impact and is full of hungry sharks.

The element of surprise is a factor.

Of the ones I’ve been involved in earthquake caused me the most outright panic. I was in an airport and the noise along with the walls swaying had me running for the exit.

Once I figured out what was going on I made a plan to dive for the edge of the wall to be as close as possible for when they started to dig people out of the rubble. About the time I made it to the wall the quake was over and nothing was even broken.

Local residents that were used to it barely had their conversations interrupted but I almost had my pants interrupted :eek:

On hurricanes - living on the Gulf Coast we maintain plans to bail out when the track, size, forecast, and other factors dictate. I don’t plan on sticking around to have fear or not for anything over a weak unorganized cat 1.
