It’s like joking that kids these days don’t know Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings. Vinyl is big. Digital downloads are big. The media that look like they’re _not_ going to survive are the various magnetic tapes (there seems to be zero nostalgia for eight-tracks, and minimal for compact cassette and microcassette tapes) and physical digital media, like CDs and the various digital proprietary formats, like MiniDisc. But vinyl has a culture surrounding it, and it’s going to hang on for a while longer. ---

A music album released (no matter what form it takes) that has a collection of songs is an album. I’m not quite sure of what they’re doing now, but I still say an album is a collection. ---
