Which one's your favourite? REO / Styx / Journey / Foreigner

All four were pretty bad, but I went with Journey – good guitarist, good vocalist, and some decent songwriting. (Styx was more interesting, but Dennis De Young’s contributions were lame and pretentious.)

Why on Earth have two posters proposed adding Rush to this list? This thread is not about talent-laden progressive rock bands which created an impressive and varied (if not always successful) oeuvre over multiple decades!

(I guess the one thing in common is that Rush happened to make it into the Top 40 world right around the same time that the OP’s bands did – but, then, so did Madonna, Prince, and many other acts…)
