(This is not a parody, but inspired by [this excellent thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=229664) which has equally valid points.) Call me tetchy, but I’m mightily annoyed by [this vomit of a thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=229507) in Cafe Society. Why hasn’t it been closed? It’s a blatant and moronic political rant masquerading as a question about Hollywood. It has nothing to do with _“art, drama, literature, movies, music – all the artistic disciplines – if it’s about art or entertainment, it goes here.”_ Pull this kind of bullshit in GQ and you’d get pounded, but it’s ok in Cafe Society? What can look forward to next in Cafe Society? Have liberals watched the news anytime recently? What comic strip character is Bush based on? What if Clinton wrote “Cat In The Hat”? (Actually, that last one’s not bad. But you get what I’m driving at…) ---

For you people whining about the thread not being closed yet, do you realize that using the “Report this post to a moderator” function only sends email to the moderators of that specific forum. **Uke** is the only mod of that forum, and the thread hasn’t even been there a day. Maybe he’s busy, not “ignoring” you. ---
