While most Presidential candidates have lost in the primaries because of a large number of factors, which of them do you associate their loss with one event? For example to me what comes to mind are George Romney being brainwashed about Vietnam, Gary Hart’s hanky panky, and now Cristie’s Bridgegate. Anyone agree or disagree with these and have any additional candidates? Perhaps Muskie crying? ---

It seems like he was a media darling, and there was a reluctance to let him go, but he was “gone” before The Scream. It can be hard to measure such things. I think if Clinton had edged out Obama, we’d be focused on his “bitter clinging” comment. ---
