# Which scenario is worse?

First of all, I don’t know if you’re trying to say something negative about me with that first sentence there, but, in any case, thanks 🙂 It’s supposed to be disgusting. She’s not a sympathetic character. _uses some more smilies to show that she’s really not trying to start a fight or anything 🙂 🙂 🙂_

There are few female serial killers, especially of the “den of torture and horrors” type. That’s actually one of the things that fueled the writing of this story. I wanted to see if I could come up with an upbringing that would produce a female character with the right mentality to kill in this fashion. The glimpses I give into her past are pretty awful, and I also show the behavior of her sisters and it’s pretty clear that all of them are compensating for a lot of emotional neglect and abuse in their own ways. Linneah, who was already sort of unstable to begin with, compensates by feeling so far above everyone else that she sees them as nothing but vermin that she can play with and experiment on for her pleasure. As far as real life women who practiced sexualized murders, in addition to Myra Hindley, there is also Karla Holmolka, who killed with her husband Paul Bernardo (at first, she claimed to be an innocent victim of his twisted behaviors, but it eventually came out that she was a pretty willing participant in it all.) Linneah also kills with a male accomplice through most of the book, and waits patiently to begin her series of murders until she ensnares him. (After all, what’s the point of getting all hot over killing someone if you don’t have anyone to relieve the tension with afterward? :))
