Command - Tie between _Imperial_ class Star Destroyer and a _Mediator_ class Star Defender. In a galaxy-scale battle I’d want one of the bigger ones, but these two are just right for personal conquests.

Pilot: A-wing. But I’d want a lot of space around me until I got the hang of it.

Pilot: Tie-Interceptor (or maybe a Starfury from B-5). Z-95’s are kinda fun, too. Basically anything lightly shielded, overgunned and highly maneuverable.

Command: Miranda class (“KHAAAAAAN!!!”). Or maybe a Nebulon-B frigate.

See, this is what television has done to our culture. No one has yet mentioned the _[Long Shot](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Shot_%28Niven%29)_, the _[Lying Bastard](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lying_Bastard)_, _[Gay Deceiver](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Number_of_the_Beast_%28novel%29)_, the “Slapstick” Libby-enhanced _[New Frontiers](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methuselah's_Children)_, the Xeelee nightfighter-augmented _[Great Northern](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timelike_Infinity)_, or even the G.S.S. _Suicidal Insanity_.

The U.S.S. _Enterprise_? Are you kidding? That ship is nearly as prone to accident, incapacitation, and sudden total gratuitous existance failure as the _[Starship Titanic](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Places_in_The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy#Artifactovol)_. I’d much rather fly the [NSEA \*Protector](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NSEA_Protector)\*, which is capable of standing up to a hideous amount of punishment even in the hands of a totally incompetent crew. And while _Liberator_ is nearly indestructible, it seems to be a very cursed ship which also lacks even a basic operator’s manual. I’ll fly the _Mary Celeste_ to the Moon before I set foot on _Liberator_.

[QUOTE=MacTech]
Actually, i change my vote to **The Starship Heart of Gold** from HHGTTG

Improbability Drive Roxxors!!!111!ONE! 😉
[/QUOTE]
Not me. I’ll take the _[Bistromath](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starship_Bistromath)_, which uses a wonderful new method of crossing vast interstellar distances without all that dangerous mucking about with Improbability Factors. I don’t want to be responsible for bringing into existance a sperm whale and a bowl of petunias several miles above the surface of a planet, only to be dashed into protoplasm on the ground below, and you just never know what other terrible problems the Improbability Drive will wreck upon your lifestyle.

The OP asked about starships from movies, but some of these are from novels. Otherwise, I’d agree on the Gay Deceiver. If you’re willing to consider Star Trek televsion shows, I’d say the Defiant.

Oh, if you’re opening it up to starships from books, give me either the _Dauntless_ or the _Skylark of Valeron._\*

- Screw your puny little starships. I want one that can masquerade as a small planet. 😃

I was going to say “Gay Deceiver,” but I don’t think it is quite a starship. More like a big car.

If it \*has \*to be movies, then the _Serenity_, definitely. Either command or pilot.
Pity, I think the GSV _Sleeper Service_ would be cool - not that you “pilot” or “command” such a ship, but to ride in, hell yeah.

The USS Enterprise… NCC1701 No bloody A…B…C… or D

That vessel had its quirks but it never got a scratch until its upgrade.
It even withstood several attacks from Nomad with the equivilant power of 90 photon torpedoes.

It can get from one Quadrent of the Galaxy to another in meere hours…

Fast… Oh Yeah.

Not to mention that it has an SEP field. So often, I’ve tried to perfect my design for a small SEP generator for my work cube, but it doesn’t seem to work quite right. 😃
