I got this idea from reading the Most Useless Superfriend thread. I’d like to be **Aquaman**. It would be so much fun exploring the sea. I’d take centuries! **Thor** is another guy I wouldn’t mind being. The guy’s a Norse god, for gracious sake! And he can hammer any nail whenever he wants to. I’d take Loki out first thing. ---

**Green Lantern** absolutely! Loved when the Silver Age version came out in the late 50s/early 60s,used to own the first 100 issues. Love the Power Ring, the Guardians of Oa, the Oath, etc. Haven’t been involved in comics at all for about 15 years, but it was a real fascination in my jr high/high school days, and I kept them into the 80s. ---

Aquaman is a good choice. I was going to say **just the x-ray eyes part of Superman**. Don’t need strength - don’t want to bounce bullets off my chest. Don’t want to fly. I get vertigo just looking down from a high bridge. But xray eyes, now that’s a trick you could parlay into riches. Say with a few scratch-off lotto tickets. ---

I always wanted to be Plastic Man. I thought it was SO cool the way he could stretch around and do things no human could do. Or melt. Or conform to any shape. I just thought he was so different from the other comic stars. Plus he was a major smart-ass. I already have that part down pat. ---

Well Green Lantern would be fun (a ring that can make anything? Limited only by your imagination? Woo!) but there’s something about Superman… Not the powers so much as the ideal he represents. ---

My lifelong ambition has been to be The Spleen- a character from the amusing little film called “Mystery Men”. The Spleen could clear a room with the noxious emissions from his nether regions. He had the ability to turn normal, healthy food into the foulest of odors. Wait, I am ALREADY “The Spleen”! b. ---

Preacher. It would be great to shout out to a crowd “Dance for me, little monkey puppets!” and have them actually _do_ it. For conventional superheroes, I’d go with Martian Manhunter. Super strength and speed, invisibility, shape shifting, desolidification, vision powers, mind reading. Yeah, he’s pretty cool. (This choice is assuming that I wouldn’t have his psychological weaknesses, mainly that pyrophobia thing that all Martians apparentily have.) ---

BATMAN. Why? Because…HE DOSEN’T HAVE SUPERPOWERS!!! Huh? Thats right…he’s not from an alien world, nor is he endowed with powers derived from magic or science accidents. All he is…is what he made himself to be. He honed his body to an athletic ideal, He posesses a self-discipline to shame a Marine Drill Sergeant, And, is rich enough to use all the tools and toys of the trade. If I had the bucks, time and will, I could be Batman! ---

Lemme see, I’d want superhuman strength, enhanced senses, speed and agility combined with outstanding fighting skills. Having invulnerability would be a plus, or at least the ability to recover quickly from the most grievous of injuries would be beneficial. Toss in some ass shredding retractable claws and you’d have no one else but Wolverine, my favourite (Canadian) super-hero. ---

This might be cheating but I always though morph would be the best, that way you can pick any other superhero you wanted to be for that day and just be him(or her) and if I remember correctly he could use the powers of the person he morphed into also, what could be better than that? ---

I have a feeling Sewer Urchin would score with American Maid before Die Fledermaus did… As to who my choice would be, Green Lantern has his advantages, but the responsibilities inherent in being part of the Green Lantern Corps would put a damper on the fun. So, Superboy (the current Superboy) gets my vote. Tactile Telekenesis rocks. Imitate most of Superman’s powers (and get goggles to get the vision-powers), and have a few extra tricks, to boot. Not to mention not being Superman, so I’d be able to have a little fun with the powers (especially the X-ray specs…heheh…) ---
