“The Wrong Trousers” and in particular the train chase scene. The bit where we really lost it was where the track runs out and Gromit is frantically laying down new track. ---

“Only Fools and Horses” Del and Rodney en route to fancy dress (Batman and Robin) Car breaks down they have to run. Switch scene to a councillor being mugged as she leaves a building, Del and Rodney come jogging out of the mist with the batman theme playing. Pretty much all the episodes of Fawlty Towers. It still holds up. Especially _Basil the Rat._ Frank’s Place, the episode _Where’s Ed_? One of the most finely crafted half hours of comedy I have ever seen. ---

Greg Davies and Marek Larwood on “Fast and Loose” in [this segment](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5vy5wGPNec). The inevitability of the ending is too much to bear. There was also Larwood’s contribution to [this segment](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oFuwNW89SY)(starting at 3.54) that completely destroyed everyone. ---

Frasier - too many! OK, the one where Lilith and Frasier take their turkey out of the oven to give to the school master, and Niles, who is nipping at the brandy and keeps coming down to baste it, finds it…missing??? And the one where Niles is playing Jesus in a Christmas pageant, pops out of the bathroom, and the woman sees him and says, “I know this is your busy season…” Married With Children - too many! The one where the tacky family camps out in the hot summer for the cool surroundings, on lawn chairs, right in the middle of the grocery store helping themselves to snacks and otherwise spending the day. And the one where Peg demands sex from Al and the show cuts to film clips of pile drivers, hammers, and the agitator of a washing machine furiously churning away. ---

When _Beavis and Butt-head_ came back for a few episodes last year, there were many such moments, but one in particular sticks out in my memory. While they were watching a music video, they started talking about a kid at their school who died. They were trying to remember who it was, and then Beavis said, “I know Daria killed herself.” When Butt-head told him that Daria actually just moved away, Beavis said, “Hmm. I always figured she’d kill herself.” Then they talked about a grief counselor named Rick who came to the school after the kid died. Beavis said that Rick invited him to his house for spaghetti. This was hilarious for me because of an inside joke I have with someone I work with. Finally Beavis said that Rick gave him some lemonade, and then he fell asleep. When he woke up, Rick told him that his butt would hurt for the next couple of days. “And it did! Smart guy, that Rick.” Keep in mind that this just happened to air just as the Penn State affair was first in the news. ---
