I think it was the “Head” episode that piled up the laughs until I cried - when Blackadder’s gang are trying to prevent a visiting widow from discovering that her husband was executed ahead of schedule so as to have the middle of the week off by the new Lord High Executioner (Blackadder himself, of course) by having a proxy pretend to be her husband with a bag over his head (Blackadder himself, of course). “Your husband… May not look quite as you remember him.” “I am prepared to accept that he will have lost some weight in prison…” “Yes. There’s been a few shows mentioned here, Fawlty Towers, Frasier and Blackadder among them, that I’ve ached laughing at so I’ll mention another: Father Ted. It’s hard to describe why I found these bits so funny, but I did: - The all-priest Kraftwerk tribute band - Ted, in conjunction with a small black mark on a window, making some unfortunate gestures - Ted repairing the car that was supposed to be the raffle prize - Pretty much the entirety of the episode _Speed 3_ - The discussion of perspective ---

MASH: The one in which they use Radar’s rabbit for a pregnancy test. Instead of (as usual) killing the rabbit, Hawkeye removes its ovaries. Margaret thanks Radar, and he says, “I know you would’ve done the same for my pet.” I have never laughed so hard in my life. My whole family lost it. Other great moments: Colin Mochrie as “Captain Hair” on _Whose Line Is It Anyway?_ The “Money” and “Chains” episodes (“Plushie?”) of _Blackadder 2_. Niles and Lilith hooking up on _Frasier_. The video game version of the study group on _Community_. The lie detector episode of _Barney Miller_. (Dietrich is asked where he was born. He said he didn’t remember. “It happened such a long, long time ago…in a galaxy far, far away.” The lie detector indicates that he’s being truthful.) ---

While I agree with Rick that Night Court has a ton of these moments, I can pick out a specific one: The episode (titled “Mac’s Dilemma”) where a Japanese businessman keels over dead in the courtroom, and Bull is placed in charge of keeping the body safe until his American handler arrives to claim it. He puts it in a motorized wheelchair, and when his back is briefly turned, a child turns on the motor, sending the chair into an open elevator, leading to the following exchange: Harry: Bull, how could you lose a dead Japanese industrialist? Bull (with the most sheepish look on his face): He outsmarted me, sir. Harry: Outsmarted you?! Bull, a corpse is a corpse! Dan: Of course, of course. I have two picks from the Simpsons (everyone has some, don’t they. I’m sure I can think of more without much effort), the $pringfield episode: Lisa, to Homer: I had a bad dream, I dreamt the bogey man was after me. Home: Aaah! The bogey man! (runs into Bart’s room, wakes him up) I don’t want to alarm you, but I have a report that there may be a bogey man or bogey men in the house! (Cut to Marge coming home and finding Homer and the kids hiding behind the couch with a shotgun pointed at the door) Marge: What happened? Homer: Oh, nothing…just a little problem with the BOGEY MAN! (throws down the shotgun, which discharges) and, from the episode “Marge Gets a Job”: the setup is that Bart has been faking illness to constantly get out of tests (ohh, my ovaries!), and he gets several lectures about the “Boy who Cried Wolf”: Krusty’s guest, a zookeeper: This is an Alaskan Timber Wolf - his jaws can bite through a parking meter! But he’ll be OK, as long as there aren’t any loud noises. (sirens go off) Krusty (shouting): Did you just say “LOUD”? That’s our word of the day! (the wolf breaks free of its chain and runs into the elementary school, where Bart has been sent out into the hallway to take his long-delayed test. The Mrs. Krabappel sees Bart through the window of the classroom door, yelling “Wolf! Wolf!” but she ignores him. Groundkeeper Willie: All right, wolfie - put down that hors doeuvre, it’s time for the main course! (Bart hands in his mangled test paper, “admits” that nothing had really happened to him, and collapses. I don’t recall the exact dialog) (later, Willie consoles the wolf) Don’t worry about it - I’ve been wrestlin’ the likes of you since you were at your mother’s teat. The Simpsons has become so omnipresent, you occasionally need to be reminded of just how awesome it is. ---

_Raising Hope_ has a ton of little funny bits, too. One that stands out is when Burt is in the background sucking the air out of empty 2-liter soda bottles to flatten them for the recycling bin. He stands up, takes a couple of steps, and says, “Oh, it’s like a tunnel” and collapses. ---

On \*Friends \*when Ross is trying to flirt with the pizza delivery girl and is explaining how the smell is added so you can detect a leak. " … .a lot of other gas smells" . The look of mortification on everyones’ face and then cut to Chandler “…oh, the humanity” Later in the same episode, they watch what turns out to be a home made video of Chandler singing _A Space Oddity_. The way Chandler is mugging to the camera as he sings the line "commencing countdown, engines _ON_ ‘’ cracks me up every time. As you can guess, I’m a big fan of Matthew Perry. ---
