Not trying to be snarky, but it’s interesting that Annapolis, MD (the state capital) is only about 30 miles from Washington DC. ---

And Washington is the capital of the District of Columbia. I think. ---

Putting aside island countries like Australia and New Zealand, what continental country has the most remote capital? The capital city that’s the furthest from the nearest foreign capital city? A look at my globe leads me to believe it’s Brasilia, which is 1461 km from Asuncion, Paraguay. Am I right or is there a more remote capital city? ---
