Agreeeeeeeee
Baccarat is purely a game of luck. Spending thirty minutes watching baccarat would generate about as much tension as watching children playing Go Fish. Texas Hold 'Em is a game of skill; specifically, bluffing other players and calculating complex odds. The irony, of course, is that Bond one the final hand in Casino Royale purely by luck. He just happened to have the winning hand in an absurdly unlikely set of good hands. I once calcucated the odds and it worked out be be something on the order of ~10[SUP]18[/SUP] to get that particular combination of hands in that particular order.

I guess I’ll be the first to vote for Quantum of Solace. I liked Casino Royale, and would certainly vote it as the better of the two so far released, except I felt like the whole in-love-with-Vesper thing was totally flat. I *never *got the feeling that Bond cared at all for Vesper, even as he’s saying he does. To me, he showed no more affection for Vesper than he did for Strawberry Fields in Quantum. I don’t know if it was Craig’s actual acting or how he was supposed to be all cool and aloof, but it totally pulls me out of the movie towards the end.
None of them. I thought they were both pretty bad and not even enjoyable, other than one very good action scene.
Then again, probably none of the Bond films are good. I have enjoyed some of the Sean Connery and Roger Moore films, but I don’t remember them well enough to say they were good.
As for Brosnan, the video game GoldenEye was quite good, but the movie isn’t really. It’s ok.
I loved Craig in Casino Royale. Waiting for Skyfall.
Skyfall is likely the last you’ll get before they reboot the original movies.
Casino Royale was the reboot.
And a Bond villain whose evil plot was to take control of the water supply of Bolivia? I mean,* Bolivia*? Oh, how have the mighty fallen! Where was the twisted genius aspiring to domination of the entire world?
I thought Casino Royale was great. After that, Quantum of Solace was a bit disappointing. (It was interesting to me though to see the scenes that were filmed in Panama, even though having Panama locations standing in for Bolivia was hilarious). But since I haven’t seen Skyfall yet, I voted for that option.
Daniel Craig’s portrayal of Bond is closest to the books. I understand that after all these years you might like your Bond with a little camp, but Craig’s Bond is probably the one that Ian Fleming would most recognize.
Or is your objection that Daniel Craig himself sucks? I don’t know about that, I’ve liked pretty much everything he’s been in, but that’s what makes it an opinion.
Casino Royale for me.
Saw Skyfall this friday - loved it. Topped both QOS and Casino Royale for me.
Saw Skyfall yesterday. It’s a good movie
I mean, Forget about “Good Bond Flick”… it’s a really good movie!

Warning: *severe *Skyfall spoiler!!!**
I really mean it!! You have been warned!!

Last chance not to click…Apparently not…

I’ve seen Skyfall and I think Casino Royale was better - but not by much.
Skyfall but I personally prefer the current Spectre.
Haven’t had a chance to see Spectre yet and I don’t know if I have a favorite.
I will say however that I found Quantum of Solace to be under-rated and Skyfall to be over-rated.
IMO:
Casino Royale was best – 3.5 stars (out of 4)
Skyfall was 2nd best – 3 stars
Spectre is 3rd – 2.5 stars
Quantum of Solace is last – 2 stars
