Which world state is currently occupied by three of its neighbors in a ratio 50:30:20?

Pls help!!

I think you are looking for Borneo. IIRC, Indonesia and two others occupy it. Do a Google on Borneo.

Borneo?

I think Brunei must be too small to occupy 20% of anything. I’m guessing Kurdistan (Turkey, Iraq, Iran).

I would cast a vote for Kurdistan as well, with Turkey taking up a large chunk, Iran a smaller chunk, and Iraq the smallest.

However, this map of Kurdistan seems to show parts of Kurdistan in Syria and a sliver in Armenia.

I don’t know the context, but I don’t think that Kurdistan really fits the bill, since it is not, and never has been, a state. Then again, the Treaty of Sevres recognized Kurdistan as such, but Kurdistan has only ever been a term for the region where the Kurds live. Then again, I don’t believe Borneo has ever been an independent state either…

What’s the definition of “world state”? Borneo is an island. Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia are the countries that have territory on that island. Brunei exists only on Borneo, I wouldn’t call it a “neighbor.”

Some possibilities follow. I am assuming that “world state” does not necessarily equal “sovereign nation”:

Tibet (China occupies. Do India, Nepal, or other nations have a significant presence there?)

Cyprus (Only two occupiers, right? Also, as an island, does it HAVE neighbors?)

Macedonia (Could be … I know that Greece and Yugoslavia have claims).

Palestine? (Israel and … who? Jordan? Syria? Lebanon? If the Sinai was traditionally Palestinian territory, then maybe add in Egypt.)

I’ll guess Kashmir, divided between India, Pakistan and China.

Kashmir is definitely the best possible answer. Because of its pre-1947 existence as a princely state under British protection, it might reasonably be described as a “world state”. (Although, obviously, that terminology presents problems when applied to a land claimed and occupied in its entirety by its neighbors.) Also, it very nearly satisfies the 50:30:20 condition, although the attached article cites the ratio as 45:35:20–
