Basically, if you listen to static and let your imagination run wild, you can hear anything. On the other hand, [numbers stations](http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/encyclopedia/n/nu/numbers_station.htm) are phenomena that are a bit more unnerving to me (especially in these paranoid times). Now this would be a subject for a good thriller. ---
