Cite? I don’t think that Wikileaks does its own hacking. All it does is publish information that other people have gotten access to. Often no hacking is involved its just people with access leaking information.
As far as Assange saying the documents didn’t come from Russia, it would be trivial for Russia to give the documents to non-Russian source who then sends them to Assange. So this claim doesn’t mean anything.
What’s that expression about ‘truth in jest’? If Hillary had suggested it, the intention might have been to plant the idea in the hope that it might come to fruition at some point. Or it may have just been a joke made out of frustration. No way to know for sure and besides, what difference, at this point, does it make? ![]()
It means that you’re trying to pass off a half-baked fib as a debate point. And got caught.
Well, Trump wonders why we have nukes if we don’t use them. Should I be worried?
Possibly not. But more than that, there may have been nothing worth hacking.
One of the ironies of the Trump candidacy is that he may have been protected by his many faults. When you consider everything that was known about Trump and didn’t prevent his getting elected, it’s hard to imagine what great secrets might have been uncovered through hacking that would have taken him down.
By contrast, Clinton was running as a conventional candidate and trying to appeal to the segment of the electorate that was turned off by conventional failings, so there was more room for an impact on her.
Based upon his long history of not using muscle or violence but rather the courts in order to do battle with his enemies, and given that Trump, like the Russians, undoubtedly loves his grandchildren, I don’t think so.

And, exactly, what failings were these? That the DNC was totally in the bag for her against Bernie? That’s not a “failing”, that’s a cold light of dawn judgement call. Is there anybody who didn’t know that? Hillary won those primaries because of the DNC? Scads of people were going to vote for Bernie as the nominee, but soon’s they heard the DNC was against it, they changed their minds?
I know quite a few people who changed their minds, in that they stubbornly refused to vote for Hillary regardless of Trump. Kind of people who make me look like a non-partisan centrist.
And to belabor a point I’ve made before (to no noticeable effect), if eighty thousand Dem voters in those crucial swing states refused to vote for Hillary because of how the DNC treated Bernie…then yes, it swung the election.
Uh, the fact that he was dragged into court by victims of the Trump University scam, rather than having the students whacked, is supposed to prove something?
Assange is great now, according to Trump and his fans. Don’t look at what Trump and his fans said before. Those statements are now inoperative.
If an action benefits Trump, it is by definition “good”. That is all you need to know.
That Trump isn’t Putin! So you guys should stop saying that he is, because he isn’t!
What evidence? You just said, “I saw it in an interview with the CIA director that the report is almost finished and will be given to Obama in the next few days.” So your evidence will be available within a few days. That’s great. I can hardly wait.
How exactly does WikiLeaks gain it’s information? Does anyone know for sure? I don’t think WikiLeaks has leaked that information yet. But you’re sure that, “Wikileaks doesn’t hack anything, they just release things that other people hack”. Is that according to the Russians? Assange? Obama?
How could Assange know where the documents came from? Good question. I assume Assange has a phone, and a pen, just as Obama does. Maybe he phoned the WikiLeaks folks? Maybe he wrote them a letter?
I’ve read this five times, and I have to ask – do you not realize that Julian Assange IS the Wikileaks folks?
Lol
Plus, if Assange won’t have him hacked, how are we supposed to know if he had someone whacked?
Trump is the guy sitting on Putin’s lap.
Um, I’ve been posting the public evidence over the last few days, just read up. I’m not basing anything on the report which I haven’t seen because that would be ridiculous, but thanks for accusing me of that.
Do you think wikileaks is some super hacking group? That’s…odd. They rather publicly say they get their information from anybody. Whistleblowers, hackers, journalists, common people. Snowden and Manning are two well known leakers that gave data to wikileaks. They even have a submission form on their website.
You not only ignored my point, but you don’t seem to know who Assange and wikileaks are. Assange created wikileaks, which is just a website, to publicly release documents that were given to him by other people.
That’s amazing. Julian Assange is the only member/associate of WikiLeaks? It’s a wonder how he’s accomplished so much in his lifetime.
If all of you know that Assange is WikiLeaks, and WikiLeaks is Assange, why is it proving to be so difficult for so many governments to find and stop the WikiLeaks leaks? If your assertion is true, all they would have to do is trap Assange/WikiLeaks in the Ecuadorian embassy and WikiLeaks/Assange wouldn’t have been able to hack the DNC.
You’re embarrassing yourself.
**doorhinge **now knows that Assange is a good guy - like Putin.
He has been told this by Trump himself. So in his mind, it is now a fact, and must be defended at all costs.
