Am I the only one surprised that there wouldn’t be video surveillance of the area? I’d hope that the publicly accessible areas of the White House would have as many cameras as your average casino floor. ---

I’m sure that various means of searching, by hand and by machine, are used. The people processed are invited visitors rather than random people off the street. Nobody is going to strip search them. That’s what would be required to find something as small as a baggie of coke. One could be pushed down at the bottom of a pocket and be forgotten, which is probably what happened. ---
