Ok no ‘black’ prom, or are the people who fall into the ‘black promgoer’ catagory just taking advantage of a freebee (so in reality there is a black prom but at the school’s (really taxpayers) expense? ---

What in **World Eater** ’s reply would cause you to believe that he referred to _all_ the white students in the school? **kanicbird** , how do you know that no white students will be showing up at the integrated prom? Especially since the article itself states, “many whites say they still plan to attend next week’s integrated prom”? And even if none did, how would that be the black students’ fault? Whether you like it or not people will tend to “hang” with there own type e.g caucasian chinese african-american . It is unfortunate that some people see this as an excuse to racially vilify others but it is a fact of life. I’m sure that we have enough discrimination in regards employment policies and educational opportunities to "fix " any previous injustices that undeniably were visited upon many minority groups in the past. I believe that everbody should concentrate upon being fair and just to ALL people and treat them as you would have them treat you. Individuals have the right to be individuals seperately or en-masse. Stop having a cow about stuff we can’t fix and get on with your life. The crap about legal action is exactly the sort of shit that takes these situations out of control of the people who rightly should control them. Namely the Kids and their parents. Bottomline is no-one is going to be hurt and who knows maybe next year they will go back to the common gig. But if they don’t so what? ---

In holding a whites-only prom, which by its very nature discriminates against non-whites, the students organizing it would, indeed, seem to be racist by definition. **monstro** , you’re probably right.
