My girlfriend recently informed her mother that I was claiming her as reparations. Her mother apparently _laughed_, rather than cowering in fear. Sometimes, I think you white people aren’t afraid ENOUGH. ETA: Just for clarity, I’m claiming my girlfriend as reparations – not her mother. ---
