You weren’t attacked, by your own words. If you’re attacked, defend yourself. Racial slurs aren’t a tool of self defense any more than torture is. Dopers across the Pond feel free to correct me on this, but I seem to recall hearing of a law in the UK and/or Ireland, that allows itinerants to cross private property, even without permission, provided that they don’t stay longer than some certain amount of time. The US does not have such a law; if true, it would seem to indicate at least one way in which itinerants are less tolerated here than they are in the British Isles. ---

I have had Muslim friends who wear full body coverings and face veils have problems with men hitting on them. Predatory male behavior is just something that seems to know no limit of disgusting behavior which is why it has to be ruthlessly stamped out with whatever weapons are available. ---

This is my original post. **I used it in college a lot whenever a black guy hit on me. It was the fastest way to get rid of them.** I refer specifically to hitting on me. There is no mention of just saying hello or sitting next to me though if a man knows a woman doesn’t want anything to do with him from prior contact the above is pretty rude and threatening. ---

That seems a weird thing to lie about. Unless you’re psychic what you are saying is less likely to be true than what she’s saying. She’s admitting to some relatively rude behavior to rid herself of unwanted company that’s propositioning her. She knows what she’s admitting to on this board in particular will be interpreted in the least charitable light possible. We all know clear and simple english is incomprehensible to many on this board. We also know that modifiers aren’t accurately parsed as well. So, ZPG\_Zealot has literally nothing to gain by posting honestly and it even comes at some social standing loss. Though, to be clear, the social standing loss on an anonymous message board is pretty close to nil for the well adjusted. All that said, there are probably at least 2 or 3 better ways to shoo men away. ---
