And I don’t mean had a bad concert. BBC news is reporting Breaking News that she’s just died at age 48. I remember her from the 1980s. ---

It’s from her official publicist, Kristen Foster, so either it’s true or she has a really crappy publicist. ETA: It’s on Wiki before it’s on CNN (albeit with an “event in progress” label). ---

Man, that is a shame. She was so young, and had such amazing talent, and then the trainwreck of her life just pulled her down. Such a waste of a great voice. ---

No official cause of death yet, or even location. She was in Atlanta as of a few days ago, when there was a news item that after earning well over $100 million she was broke (which her publicist disputed), but no idea if she still was there. I’m guessing it will be found she was [rick-rolled](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PR_rzF8ofw&feature=player_embedded), but perhaps I’m wrong. ---
