There was a (Kliban?) cartoon.  
First panel: a voice instructor stands there as his student sings, “La la la la”  
Second panel: Voice instructor: “No, no . . . from your diaphragm!”  
Third panel: Student spreads her legs, voice balloon from between her legs: “La la la la”.

Had to be there, I guess.
