I could say “she wants to take the vote away from women,” and I agree that’s not funny. Which doesn’t mean that the way SHE said it wasn’t funny. That’s why I’m not going to try to quote her, because I would have to have it exactly word for word to get the same effect. I’m also not saying that I find every single thing she says funny. If I point out the ones that I think are funny, you will ask me to explain why, and I will have to try to explain a joke to someone who doesn’t get it in the first place, which never turns out well, and then you will think that I take everything the woman says literally because you don’t understand the joke, which I don’t, and that I am a racist and a homophobe, just like you think she is, which I’m not, and it’s just not worth it. ---

I second OneCentStamp. There are some funny quotes. This one here is both amusing and wtf: “The ethic of conservation is the explicit abnegation of man’s dominion over the Earth. I do think she’s funny on occasion, but only in the same way Stephen Colbert is funny (though he’s a helluva lot more talented than her). As a parody. Which was the gist of the message those hackers left on her site a week or so ago. Maybe the same people who _just know_ when she’s kidding are the same sort who also understand which parts of the Bible God _really_ meant. ---

Some of them aren’t that funny - the “have illegals build a wall” joke has been done to death - but it’s clear that she doesn’t mean it. I think she’s a jerk and more into demeaning political opponents than anything as high-minded as “pointing out flaws in liberalism,” but like I said, she can be a jerk without being straight-faced. [/QUOTE] I don’t mean to nitpick, but **Larry Borgia** asked me “which ones are funny,” not “which ones are meant to be funny,” which I think are two different questions. If he looks at that list and can’t see that some of them are _meant_ to be jokes (the Al Gore/Janet Reno crack, for instance), then he’s being a bit obtuse, I think. If he looks at the list and thinks “well, I see that she is trying to crack a joke, but I personally don’t find it funny,” then that’s a matter of taste in humor, and I don’t see how I can explain it to him.
