Bah, nothing cool about my number (although, apparently, **Daedalus** is my mirror-universe double, which is, imho a perfect name for a mirror-universe double. However, I already have a goatee, does this mean he has to be clean-shaven?). I petition TPTB to assign me a different, cooler, number. I notice #1 is available … ---

I am number 9827, and my join date is 10-17-1999. Number 9826’s join date is 09-29-2000, and 9828’s is also 09-29-2000. So this is a strange situation here. ---

After seeing that the numbers nearest mine were essentially inactive I went looking for the nearest to me with reasonable activity. Here’s what I saw: 36350 Mister Rik Charter Member Last Activity: Today 05:20 PM Join Date 06-18-2003 Total Posts 6,329 36392 Suse Charter Member Last Activity: Today 11:26 AM Join Date 06-19-2003 Total Posts 954 The rest of that range of 42 numbers, with the exception of my 36386, are dead numbers as far as recent activity goes. That suggests to me that the membership numbers are, to say the least, inflated. ---

Same here, I’m 2338 now, but I had another membership but lost my username/password (I couldn’t recover it because it was associated with a defunct e-mail address) so I started a new account. ---

That is pretty boring except that: Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc. has a product called Dermatopontin siRNA (h): sc-88148 that is “for independent verification of Dermatopontin gene silencing results.” and 88148 is the item number for Stitch America’s North End Lightweight Crew Neck Windshirt. and CAZENEUVE HBY 590 Lathe is Product 88148 and Kenmore makes a Microwave Over with a model number of 88148 and La Conch Lighting makes a product called “Rut 88148 Recessed Projector Lights” and finally, last but not least and easily weirdest of all, 88148 is NOT a valid US Zip Code! ---
