I can say without fail that no matter what the other reasons there are always daddy issues. In many cases as I develop friendships with these girls I become the surrogate daddy…this was especially true when I owned and managed a strip club. Being the cynical soul that I am, I had always assumed that the primary reason people made porn, either as performers or directors, is “for the money.” I mean, do you think you would have more than a very few porn performers to work with if they didn’t get paid? What if you only offered minimum wage, instead of forty times minimum wage (I’m lowballing here, you said ‘regular job’ and most of them pay more than minimum wage)? All the other reasons you list undoubtedly lower the psychological barriers that prevent many people from performing in a porn film, but unless they are compelling enough to make people do porn without pay then it’s “for the money” in my opinion. ---
