Does everybody know that Sasha Alexander is Sophia Loren’s [daughter-in-law](https://goo.gl/images/6svxFe)?

If we are counting forensic psychiatrists/psychologists then my favorite is Dr. Emil Skoda for Law & Order(played by J.K. Simmons).

And now he’s a Knight of the Cross. Not bad for what was originally a throwaway character.

I love him in those Farmers Insurance commercials, too. “We know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two.” (However, they are not my insurance company.)

Quincy for me to, but specifically for this reason: Jack Klugman really did save lives.

Not sure how well known this is, so forgive me if I’m boring you.

> You probably know Jack Klugman for his role as the crusading medical examiner on "Quincy." You probably don't know his role as a crusading policy entrepreneur in Washington.

> Few people remember it today, but he [Klugman] also played an instrumental role in passing critical health-care legislation, the Orphan Drug Act, through Congress in the early 1980s, using “Quincy” and his own celebrity to roll Sen. Orrin Hatch (R), who was blocking the bill.
