# Who are your favorite married sitcom couples?

Who are your favorite married TV sitcom couples? Choose as many as you like.
Note that I am not including animated couples (sorry, Homer & Marge, Peter & Lois), couples whose marriage is not a fundamental component of the series (sorry Chandler & Monica, Max & 99), and couples in which one of the pair is largely or entirely unseen (sorry Norm & Vera, Barney & Liz).
I have probably missed some; feel free to avail yourself of the ‘other’ option.

I voted for Burt and Virginia on Raising Hope, but Tami and Coach from Friday Night Lights is my Other.

The qualities of love, realism, humor, anger, sex, and happiness in Dan and Roseanne Conner’s relationship still astounds me to this day.
I also voted for Archie and Edith Bunker – had I been born 20 years earlier, they would have been my Dan and Roseanne.

Other: Frank and Marie Barone (Raymond’s parents).
On the surface, they are everything a spouse or parent should not be. But underneath, they are still everything a spouse or parent should not be.
But if you dig a little deeper, there’s some genuine love between them and their kids.

Of all the shows listed in the poll, _Home Improvement_ is the only one I’ve seen, and Jill and Tim weren’t particularly interesting.
Of course, my all time favorite tv couple is Nancy and Dale Gribble. But they are disqualified, unfortunately.
