I’ve seen a few snippets of his prepared TelePrompter speeches (as much as I could stomach), and compared to the pro wrestling style of speech he usually gives, they’re relatively sensible. In the end though, it won’t matter (I hope). Anything he does to behave as a normal and sane presidential candidate will be too little, too late. ---

I always assumed someone from the WWF. Trump, of course, never listens & never delivers them dressed in wrestling bikini bottoms and bad sun glasses while grunting and pointing at the camera with short stubby fingers. ---

It looks like Trump’s speeches pretty much plagiarize the philosophy of Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels. ---

But Goebbels was at least enough of a thinker to be cunning and astute, whereas the impression I get is that Trump doesn’t know what he thinks till he hears it coming out of his mouth. ---

According to an op-ed I read just yesterday, when he delivers one of those scripted speeches, he visibly chafes at the self-restraint required, and requires visibly uncomfortable self-control (not always entirely successful) to stay on-script and not start throwing injudicious insults around. The question, then, is: Can he put on his “Presidential” act and stick with it consistently until election day? The apparent answer is: Probably not. I’m that old, too. WWE, WWF; I knew where he was coming from. I was distracted-posting anyway or i’d have seen his footnote.
