I’ll do it. I’m a citizen over 35, white, not from New York nor a state bordering New York, and can more or less think on my feet. And I’m not in the pocket of any \*rival \*billionaires. ---

Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions. He reinforces Trump’s no-nonsense approach, adds Southern support and is conservative. ---

Sessions was my pick back in post #11 because he adds the insider experience and has probably been Trump’s biggest supporter in the Senate. ---

Some of these answers seem to be in jest or way off. I was expecting better answers. Plus candidates select running mates after clinching the nomination of their party, so this puts to rest the notion that Trump is doing all this for attention. If he stays the course and supposedly gets the nomination, it is foolish to say he is not serious. Not like Trump will suddenly drop out after getting the nomination and instead hand it to another Republican. Makes no sense. As for the question in hand, Romney and McCain are out. I don’t think any previous presidential candidate has later on become a Vice Presidential for another nominee. I know there is Joe Biden, but he never got the nomination, Romney and McCain did. I don’t see any of them becoming Trump’s VP. McCain will be 80 by then, and he and Trump don’t like each other so that is out. My hunch is Trump will select a moderate Republican, a Senator or likely a former/current Governor who will be younger than him. Say in he/her 40’s or 50’s. This will bring more political experience to the ticket as Trump is not a career politician. This person could from another part of the United States to balance out Trump being a New Yorker. But then again it could be a fellow East Coaster like Trump. Remember Clinton and Gore were both Southern. I can’t think of any names, but there are plenty of people who would fit this bill. As Trump is not really conservative and is more middle of the road, he will get a moderate VP and not a far right, Tea Party individual. The Donald will find that being president means listening to others and learning. He will want someone with political chops, low key who does not have presidential aspirations in the future. The VP will still follow in line with Trump all being said and done. Unlikely that he will choose a fellow Republican from the race. But if he did, it won’t be Cruz. By nature they are not aligned, I can see someone like Marco Rubio as a better match as Donald Trump’s VP. And no, his daughter won’t be it, she will run his business outside the White House. ---
