Who COULD run this country?

Anyone actively seeking the job should be automatically disqualified.

Chuck Norris :wink:

And just to annoy the antigun crowd;
Wayne LaPierre :wink:

Jack Dangermond The founder and owner of ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute)

Few people outside of the GIS community will know who he is. I just saw his plenary speech at a conference for 17,000 or so GIS professionals.

He is passionate, humble and is used to building things from the ground up, collaborating, or working with what he has.

Malala Yousafzai or Tenzin Gyatso.

  • So wave the naturalization law. Whaddya got to loose?

Marcus Aurelius.

Or Cincinnatus.

i’ve often thought this:

Yep. Wrong question to ask. The president is in charge of the executive branch of the government. That’ s it. No one “runs the country”. That’s a feature, not a bug. If you want to see what happens when someone “runs the country”, go visit North Korea.

If you want to use a business analogy, the president is the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the government. We really don’t have a a CEO, but if we did it would Congress, collectively.

Fantastic answers. Within the same vein:

Personally, and speaking as a Democrat, I’m not entirely confident I could even pick Biden out of a lineup.

I thought John Kasich looked like a good candidate, and I lean Democrat. I could have voted for him over Hillary but there is no way I can vote for Trump.

The Affordable Health Care Act would have gone nowhere without Obama ramming it through. Whether you think that’s good or bad, the point is that even though Congress had to pass it, it happened because of the president’s influence.

Having lived under Kasich, the only way I would have voted for him was if Trump had ran as a Democrat.
