When I was younger, I was frequently told that I bore a more than striking resemblance to Princess Diana. I thought that was quite a compliment. ---

In my youth it was Richard Dreyfuss, when he was younger too of course especially around the time of “The Good Bye Girl”, but now more commonly it is Heisenberg/Walter White (when I am wearing one of my hats in particular) or Moby. ---

Wow. This just made my day. I uploaded a picture of myself, and Google said “Best guess for this image: beauty.” Google thinks I’m beautiful!!! First couple images were [Michelle Keegan](https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/bb/30/48/bb3048fc564170066d0e73bc5d0f8cd8.jpg) and [Rose Crespo](https://img.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeed-static/static/2016-04/28/11/enhanced/webdr06/enhanced-3062-1461857493-7.jpg). 5th result was [this woman](https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/a6/46/05/a64605f91b93f497dd96aa71bf978c7f.jpg); I don’t know who she is but she’s so gorgeous I had to include that here and pretend I look like her. ---

Back more than a few years ago, the mid-70s, I was sitting in an outside bar in Waikiki with another guy when a foreign guy came up to me and in a strong eastern European accent said " Condor, Condor". My buddy and I were somewhat confused, and this guy kept pointing at me, smiling and kept saying “Condor, Condor”. That’s when I clued in and said to him “Day of the Condor”. He beamed and got real excited and then my buddy looked at him and pointed to me and said “Robert Redford” Yes, Yes, Yes was the guys response. He grabbed my hand and shook it, babbled something that sounded like “thank you” and returned to his seat, never quit smiling. Granted, Redford is about 15 years older than me, I was wearing shades and had longish blond hair, but if he wants to think I’m Redford, that’s okay with me. But realy now, why wasn’t it a table full of chics? ---

Several people thought I looked a lot like James DePriest (google him), although he was black. When he guest conducted the Montreal Symphony Orchestra I got a number of odd looks from other people in the audience. And when his photo appeared in the Penn student newspaper a year after I spent a sabbatical there, one of the secretaries in the math dept was convinced they had subbed my photo. Actually it was done in low light and he wasn’t evidently black. Do all nearly bald men with white beards look alike? Oddly enough he was a HS classmate of mine. I still have my yearbook and we didn’t remotely resemble each other. ---

In my 20s and early 30s, I was frequently asked if I had played football in college, so apparently I look like a football player. I don’t know jack about football so I can’t really say. My sister-in-law once told me and my brother (her husband) that we look like smart thugs. My wife agreed. ---

Prince William. Altho, I had more hair on my head when I was his age. One of my friends looks like Eric Clapton without trying. He also plays guitar - one night we were in a small pub and I told him to just go up and play open mic and see what happened. He chickened out. Another friend is the spitting-image of Kevin Neelan from SNL. It would be fun to see a collage of the people we “say” we look like. ---

People used to say Tom Cruise when I was younger. I always thought I looked more like Christopher Lloyd. Dunno where they got the Tom Cruise thing; he has a rounder face than I do. ---

I kind of cheated, and fed Google two woodcuts and a painting of myself. Its best guess was “animal” or “art”. Some of the art even had depictions of humans in it. When I don’t cheat and feed it an actual photo. It’s best guess is “beard”. Under similar images, it has a bunch of baseball players. The first wiki page it suggests is Beard (companion), with the collection of hair that grows on the chin and the cheeks listed second. So, maybe google thinks I look like a gay baseball player? ---

Among the people it thinks I look like are Casey Anthony ( "The most hated person in America) and Caitlin Jenner ("Things not to say to a transgender person). Also some poor Irish lass who was eaten by a bear :eek: In actuality I’d say I’m a cross between Rosie Perez (gag) and maybe Maria Bello. What a great grinchy trick, **jtur88**! ---

Wow, that was disappointing. On my first try I got “hairstyle”, with similar images all being women’s snappy new haircuts. On my second try, I got “clothing”, with the similar images being pictures of women modeling clothes. Ho hum.
