As much as I think McCaskill is the kind of moderate candidate it’s hard to win with–the Democrats need leaders who are more vocal about things they’re progressive on, and a little ideological–a moderate Democrat can be very influential and important in the day-to-day work of the chamber. My state is not going to better off with a generic Republican prettyboy in that seat. ---

Actually, Hawley has drawn comparisons to Ben Sasse, so hopefully he ends up being a decent fellow. But a lot of decent people in both parties went down yesterday and a lot of crooks got reelected. It was not a good night for character voters. ---

And statewide, over a half million dipshits voted for a deranged conspiracy theorist for the Washington Supreme Court Position 8 (Nathan Choi). Luckily, Choi lost.
