# Who do you report this crap to??

I just received this e-mail, it also contained a few boxes to enter my credit card #. If some idiot was going to try and get a credit card # wouldn’t they find a better scheme that actually made sense, I can’t even understand what the heck they are talking about. BTW its also contains an attached file, which I have absolutely no intention of opening. Good idea?
So, who do you report this kind of blatant crap to, I mean someone that would actually care, or is this from overseas (I’m guessing, due to the wonderful mastery of the english language) and there is nothing that can be done?

Good luck. But if you want to try, start with the originating IP address in the header. Using a Whois should get you the ISP of the offending user, and you can try reporting this to them.

It’s been reported on Snopes, BTW, so at least a few people will see it and realize it’s fake from that.

It was a new one on me until tonight. I just liked using the neat new word so I looked smarter than I am. 🙂
Apparently, a “joe job” is just a term for a way of making spam look like it comes from someone else. Old trick, new name.
