Dylan is more of a spectacle/event; it always feels like maybe Joan Baez or Robbie Robertson is in the crowd with you. Petty is more consistent. He is great every time he takes the stage. With Dylan there’s always the chance that he doesn’t really feel like giving it his all, yet it’s still a great show. Petty crowds are typically alcohol driven. Dylan crowds are more weed/mushroom type crowds. ---

As I posted above, I read all the Beverly Cleary books in grammar school, and I was astonished 20 years ago to find out she was still alive. She’ll be 103 on April 12, if she make s it. Her two autobiographical books A Girl from Yamhill and My Own Two Feet are definitely worth reading. ---
