I hope they play the hell out of Trump basically bragging that he buys politicians and talking about how broken THAT is. That’s flat-out shit no one else is going to talk about as a participant. I never thought I’d be happy about a Trump soundbite! ---

At least they delivered their carefully practiced talking points and shut up. No playing in prime time to a crowd waiting for a wrestling match to break out, not much in the way of trashing the other candidates. ---

Speaking of feeding, one of the candidates was talking about needing to assist people to get out of poverty and it was appalling the hostility the audience displayed. ---

Walker is boring. Jeb! struggles to get his points across. Kasich is earnest. Trump is befuddled. Paul is whiny. Christie is dynamic. Rubio is wet behind the ears. Carson is confused. Huckabee is polished. Cruz is sleazy. That’s my take on the part I’ve watched. ---

The winner of the night was actually one of the Kiddie Table performers: Carly Fiorina. Not that it matters. Despite her political skill, she’s still a failure as a leader. I’d be very disappointed if Republicans let her talking skill convince them that her leadership skills don’t matter. Let Democrats do that sort of thing, that shouldn’t be us. ---
