Does it count if I don’t have a credit card?
As far as I know, I’m not in any debt.

It would appear I’m one of the strange ones.
Got a card when I was 18 and for the next 19 years (up to today) has never been paid off.
Currently owe around $5K (AUD) which is around $10K (USD).
Revolves somewhere between $2K (AUD) and $15K (AUD) depending on what I’m buying.
The latest splurge was ‘comic-art’ from The Simpsons and The Flintstones so that bumped it up a bit.
Exactly the same here!

Wow! C@W, who is your broker?
Personally I don’t have any credit card debt, but then again my largest bill to date was a smidgin over $300.
Mine currently has about $185 on it, but that was all incurred over the last month. I paid it off the previous month.
Overall, not too bad for a guy in his early to mid 20’s, if you ask me.

No credit card debt here. My parents never used credit cards, so they were never really part of my existance. My family has always turned to each other in times of financial crisis, and nobdy really needs to rely on a credit card.
But…um…don’t ask me about student loan debt, alright?
::raises hand proudly::
me! me! In April I paid my last $400 on my last outstanding credit card debt, which spanned three cards and 10 years. Now everything’s paid up at the end of the month and I won’t ever go there again!
No credit card debt here. I use a debit credit card, so I can pay bills on the phone, use it overseas and on the internet, but know that I’m only using my own money.
I have got loans, but they are rapidly being paid off.
It’s been many years since I ran a balance on my credit cards. I pay em in full when they come in.
I do however, use the “no interest for 6 months” deals at Best Buy and Home Depot. And I always wait until the last month to pay them.
I’ve had a card for a year and I’ve never had any debt. Then again, I’m a spoiled brat whose parents pay his credit card bills…

I only have one card and do not have any debt. If I do not have the money on hand, I do not buy anything. I do use my credit card for groceries because it is easier and safer than debit cards, but I pay it all off at the end of the month.
Also, I do not have the need to buy lots of “things”. I already have to much junk and do not want to add more.
Seeing people who are in debt and hearing about others, it is nice not to have that headache to worry about.
Hey, thanks for reminding me. I need to transfer some funds…
There. No more debt.
I wish my wife would let me pay off her credit card debt so that she could stop paying interest. Se doesn’t want to take my money.
I’m with whistlepig (in more ways than one: I graduated from Carroll). Only one card–Alaska–and when I charge something, I deduct it from my checking balance and enter it in the back of the register. Also helps at statement time, when I don’t have to paw through a stack of crumpled receipts to verify the charges.
Me, me! Make online purchases (and the ISP bill) on our credit card and pay it off each month. I use a debit card for IRL purchases.
In my case I have one of those new unsecured credit cards that you get a balance of say 300 and by the time fees and every thing are paid on the card I actually got to spend about 50 of it
So right now since ive had to use it recently theres the last 20 dollar payment on it
err i meant fees are added on the card
I have a credit card, but rarely use it (I prefer to use a debit card). Simply because I expect I would accidentally run up a credit card debt were I to use it. It seems the safest option.
I’ve got a card, but I haven’t used it since February. It’s for emergencies only, and I haven’t had any emergencies since last June. I just don’t use it. I’m able to buy what I want when I want it, and control myself not to buy it when I can’t.
zero credit card debt.
